Neuromuscular Myofascial Release

What is Neuromuscular Myofascial Release

Jeff Counts, LMT is specially trained in Myofascial Release technique, which is a path to authentic healing. MFR is based on the concept of interconnectedness, encompassing the physical body, as well as how the mind deals with trauma (injury) throughout the body.

The method for finding fascial restrictions varies for each patient, and is based on the individual’s history, a visual observation of posture, and a hands-on assessment.

ActiveLife Myofascial Release treatment includes hands-on techniques such as traction, compression, and three-dimensional stretching of the tissue. The result is a long-lasting structural change, which supports the natural stability of the body.

What is Fascia Anyway ?

Fascia is connective tissue. It surrounds and envelops all parts of the body in a three-dimensional, continuous web.

Fascia provides stability and support, while allowing for flexibility within movement. It suspends organs, gives muscles shape, provides protective sheaths for nerves and blood vessels, and encases the brain and spinal cord. Fascia permeates throughout these structures down to the cellular level. From head to toe, every cell wall in the body is composed of fascia.
