Athletic Massage

ActiveLife Athletic Massage focuses on a specific area of the body. It can address chronic conditions stemming from overuse or strain, as well as enhance performance and reduce the potential for injury.

Athletic Massage also enhances recovery from injuries by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness.

Jeff Counts, LMT uses a combination of modalities and techniques that improve and increase the range of motion at the joint. These include cross fiber friction, jostling or vibration to positional releases via Myofascial Release, muscle energy technique, and assisted stretches.

  • Pre-event treatments will stimulate the muscles and prepare your body for exertion.
  • Post-event treatments will focus on painful areas and strains. Jeff will work to elongate muscle tissue, which encourages the release of hyper-contracted muscles. Hot or cold therapy may be used during the treatment to flush the tissue and reduce pain.
